Ultimately, my photographs don't feel right if I don't have to work for it. Which, in return, comes down to the essence of experience being the most valuable part of my job. The purpose of my work is to make the viewer feel something. Equally, for my work to evoke emotion, I have to invest emotion in the process of creating it. Travel teaches me to live in the moment, appreciate what and who is around me and trust my intuition. Above all, we are nothing, my job is nothing, without Mother Nature.

Carmen Huter, 25, was 20 years old when she acquired her first camera. Just five years later, the Austrian-born, New Zealand-dwelling photographer and writer has turned travel blogging into a full-time career, sharing dreamy snaps from various idyllic locations around the world.
